One bead for each of the Names. It is also the composition that exposes a manufacturer fastest: ninety-nine chances for the eye to find a bead that is a half-shade off or 0.1 mm proud of its neighbours.

Why this strand is the real test
A 33-bead strand can be assembled from a good batch almost regardless of process discipline. A 99-bead strand cannot. Colour has to hold across three times the material, geometry has to repeat ninety-nine times, and a single unit that slipped through inspection is somewhere on that strand where a customer will eventually find it.
This is why our scrap policy removes failed units from the run rather than reworking them back into it. The cost is real and we accept it, because the alternative is a client discovering the failure on a 99-bead strand instead of us.
Choosing the diameter
Comfort argues down and presence argues up. At 6–8 mm the strand is wearable all day; at 12 mm it is close to 285 g of amber and becomes a display or gifting piece rather than a carried one.
Our recommendation for a first 99-bead programme is 8 mm, with a 10 mm variant in the same material batch to test against it. That costs very little extra at sampling stage and answers the question properly.
What buyers ask about this
8 mm for daily carry, with a 10 mm variant in the same batch to compare. 12 mm becomes heavy at this count.
By reserving the raw material batch for the run before production starts. There is no finishing step that substitutes for it.
No. A unit that fails inspection is removed. The scrap rate is a cost we accept.
