The palest transparent grade, and the least forgiving. At this clarity there is nowhere for a flaw to hide, which is exactly why buyers who know amber ask for it.

Why pale costs more
It is not a pigment decision. Lemon amber is what you get when the raw material happens to be exceptionally clear, and clear raw material is a minority of any parcel. Producing a matched strand means rejecting most of what arrives, and that rejection is the entire cost difference.
It also means volume is genuinely constrained. A buyer asking for ten thousand matched lemon strands is asking for something the material supply may not support in one season, and we would rather say that at the quotation stage than discover it at month three.
Where it shows best
Larger diameters. Clarity is only visible where light has enough body to travel through, so a 6 mm lemon bead throws away most of what the buyer paid for. From 10 mm upward the interior starts to read, and at 14 mm it is the whole point of the piece.
Photography is honest here in a way it rarely is: transparent amber shows the cord straight through the bead, which is a detail you can check in our gallery photographs rather than take on trust.
What buyers ask about this
Because clarity is scarce in the raw parcel. Producing a matched strand means rejecting most of what arrives.
Up to a point, and we will tell you honestly where that point is for your volume rather than accept an order we cannot hold.
10 mm and above. Below that there is not enough body for the clarity to read.
