A Limited Series begins as a conversation about an idea rather than a specification. We develop the concept, prototype in three directions, and produce only the agreed count.
The tooling, the colour recipe and the finish profile are archived under the client name and retired. Nothing from the series re-enters general production.
We maintain the archive indefinitely, which means a series can be authenticated by us decades after release.

Limited Series
Three things, and only the first is usually offered. A stated count that closes. A numbered record per piece. And a material batch that is exhausted or formally retired rather than carried into the next programme — which is where most limited editions quietly fail, because leftover stock reappearing next season means the series was not limited in any sense a customer would recognise.
We record which of the two happened to the batch and will state it in writing where a programme depends on it. That commitment costs us the convenience of using good material and is the entire point of the tier.
As single commissions even when several are ordered. Each strand is assembled by one craftsman start to finish, the material batch is reserved for the set, and the reference strand is retained with the numbered record. Nothing about the process is scaled, which is why the counts are small.
Diameters usually sit at 12–14 mm, where the material has enough body to justify the attention, and furniture is normally cast silver or vermeil with hallmarking arranged where required.
For a collector piece, what accompanies it matters nearly as much as the piece. Material disclosure, the number within the series, and independent laboratory analysis where the value justifies it. A recipient’s question about the material should have a documented answer rather than a supplier’s assurance.
We do not publish client commissions, and no client name appears anywhere on this site. A numbered series built for a house belongs to that house entirely.
The economics run backwards from most programmes. Material is reserved and largely committed before a single piece is sold, tooling may be specific to the series, and the count is capped by definition — so the per-piece figure has to carry costs that a repeating programme would spread across seasons.
That argues for deciding the count against the material rather than against a sales forecast. We will tell you how many pieces the reserved parcel genuinely supports at the specification you want, and it is usually a more honest basis for the number on the certificate than an ambition. A series that quietly extends because demand was higher than expected is the one thing this tier cannot survive.
It is exhausted or formally retired, and we record which. Material reappearing next season means the series was not limited in any meaningful sense.
As small as the concept requires. These are built as single commissions even when several are ordered, so the counts are naturally small.
Material disclosure, the number within the series, and independent laboratory analysis where the value justifies it.
